Residents of the Hill at Whitemarsh were connected to the global community Friday, May 16th as The Philadelphia Orchestra simulcast their season finale all-Schubert program around the world via their Global Concert Series. Only 5 communities in the immediate area were granted the opportunity to broadcast this concert, which was also offered to certain Universities as far away as Greece. “We hope this will be the first of many like it,” resident Nancy Hess said, “and judging by the turnout in the Theatre and the enthusiasm around the community we have no reason to think that this was a one time event.” “When you take the time to consider the technological capabilities that The Hill is equipped with,” added Information Systems Director, Rob Levengood, “our future possibilities seem limitless.”
