Workplace Dynamics announced the Delaware Valley’s Top Work Places on Sunday, March 21^st in the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Hill at Whitemarsh is included in this list. The Top Work Places program ranks the top employers in the Delaware Valley according to scores given to the companies by their own workers.

 

Over the course of last summer, 170 companies in the Philadelphia area participated in the competition.  Employees of nominated companies were asked to complete a questionnaire created by Workplace Dynamics, an independent surveying firm with offices in Pennsylvania and London.

 

Employees were asked to rate their company on 20 questions relating to team effectiveness, trust with coworkers, alignment with goals, trust in senior leaders, and people practices in addition to respect, recognition and benefits.

 

To advance in the contest, a statistically significant number of employees, based on company size, must complete the survey.  According to Workplace Dynamics, 52% of Hill employees responded to the survey.

 

Workplace Dynamics then sorted the 100 top-scoring winners into small, medium, large, extra-large and based-elsewhere categories.   The Hill at Whitemarsh participated as a medium-sized company, which consisted of the top 35 companies with 150-499 employees.
