The Hill at Whitemarsh’s Response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 crisis has changed the way we live. The Hill at Whitemarsh has swiftly adapted to keep our community safe and healthy, reduce anxieties, and provide peace of mind for residents during this challenging time.

The Hill recognized that mandating vaccination for our team would be essential to protect the health and safety of our residents and key to our reopening efforts. The Hill was among the first retirement communities to begin vaccinating our residents and staff in December 2020, and we are among the few retirement communities that have achieved nearly 100% vaccination rates with both our residents and staff. Based on these successful vaccination efforts, we have fully reopened our community, from in-person dining to our fitness and wellness activities. Our community has come alive again with resident activity, and the excitement among our residents is palpable. Our focus on safety has allowed The Hill to return to our new “normal.”

We continue to carefully screen all staff members and guests, and rest assured that we follow all guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Health to protect our residents and staff and ensure the well-being of our community.
