Welcome to the (Memory Care) Neighborhood

The Hill at Whitemarsh’s Memory Care Administrator, Kelly Richardson
Expansion, renovations and upgrades have been underway at The Health Center at The Hill at Whitemarsh for the past five years. As part of the expansion of The Health Center, The Hill will be opening the doors to a new neighborhood this fall—one that is devoted to memory care.
The Health Center has a sterling reputation when it comes to quality of care, personal attention, and beautiful surroundings, having won many prestigious awards and honors over the years. The new Memory Care Neighborhood will meet those same high standards of world-class care, and has welcomed a new Memory Care Administrator, Kelly Richardson, to bring the vision to life.
“I feel really excited and aligned to be here at The Hill. They pride themselves on clinical excellence and executing at a high level.”

“The executive team spent a lot of time planning the space and it was built with resident input as well,” said Kelly. “We’re also really proud of the innovative program we’ve implemented, which is based on Montessori principles that prioritize person-centered engagement and person-centered care.”
Kelly, who brings with her over a decade of experience in senior living, is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and loves creating meaningful, engaging spaces that support cognitive wellness.
“I feel really excited and aligned to be here at The Hill. They pride themselves on clinical excellence and executing at a high level,” Kelly said. “On top of that, we’re all working towards promoting community and increasing resident satisfaction. We’re all committed to making the experience excellent.”
The Memory Care Neighborhood accommodates 14 residents, complete with round-the-clock nursing and access to a private courtyard, a greenhouse for horticultural therapy, and top-of-the-line dining and staff experiences. There is space for both private-pay memory care residents as well as the current residents of The Hill.
“We hope to be a resource to all the residents of The Hill and their families, whether or not they need memory care,” said Kelly. “Wellness is holistic and we’re committed to promoting cognitive wellness in all settings. My door is always open for anyone who wants to have a conversation, deepen their knowledge, or make inquiries about memory care.”
Kelly is collaborating with the teams at The Hill on developing educational programs for the wider community that are centered around cognitive health, conversation starters, and support strategies.
“It’s a really exciting time to be at The Hill!” Kelly said.
