Meet the Director of Sales: Evan Rotunno

The Hill at Whitemarsh’s Director of Sales, Evan Rotunno

Evan Rotunno has always been passionate about helping families make great decisions about their future. As the Director of Sales for The Hill at Whitemarsh, Evan loves being able to have a positive impact on the lives of new residents.

“To have the opportunity to be part of a new and exciting chapter for our residents is such an honor,” said Evan. “Not to mention that working here never feels like coming to work because I love what I do. Everything about The Hill has exceeded my expectations.”

Evan remembers driving down Fox Hound Drive for the first time to interview for the position of Sales Concierge over seven years ago, and knowing that this job was going to change his life.

“I imagine that my experience was not unlike what new residents feel the first time they drive into The Hill,” he said. “Looking out over the landscape, I felt so at home here and knew it was a special place from the beginning.”

Prior to joining the staff at The Hill, Evan served as a social worker at a hospital, primarily working with older adults and their families to coordinate their post-discharge care.

“ I liked helping families figure out how to navigate the often complicated insurance and healthcare systems, and I learned a lot along the way. It was very eye-opening to see how naive we all are when it comes to making decisions in emergency situations.” – Evan Rotunno

Now, in his role at The Hill, Evan is able to help those who are moving to The Hill create a future of their dreams with ease– including planning for the unknown.

“We do so much more than sales and marketing in this department,” Evan said. “There are so many benefits to making long-term decisions before you actually need them, and we work with every new resident to make sure they feel confident about making a move to The Hill.”

Evan noted that he’s seen a rise in demand for Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) over the past few years thanks to the baby boomers, who are now the main demographic making moves to The Hill.

The Hill, in particular, stands out among other CCRCs in the area not only for its the location, which is a wonderful mix of the bucolic farm land of Erdenheim Farm, preserved rural trails, and close proximity to Chestnut Hill and Center City Philadelphia, but also for the level of personal service that residents receive.

“Our focus is on providing exceptional service to our residents, maintaining our beautiful surroundings, and personalizing the experience for everyone who lives here,” said Evan. “These objectives are reflected in every interaction.”

The Hill is renowned for being a community that knows and cares both about the people who live there and the staff. Most people can feel that difference the moment they arrive for a tour.

“The best part about The Hill?” said Evan. “You can depend on it being the same exceptional experience 20 years from now.”
